Episode 85 – That’s All I Got

After a rare week off, we’re back to talk about The Last of Us, but before that: Mummies of the World, the season finales of Hannibal and Mad Men, Oz: The Great and Powerful, Joyland (and Anne’s general dislike of Stephen King), PDX Yar’s pirate night and Mads Mikkelsen in A Royal Affair.

In the Geek Week in Review: The secret of Roman concrete, ambulatory Egyptian statuary, the last Playstation 2 game, Nintendo’s attempt(s) at open-world Zelda games, Microsoft’s reversal of the Xbox One’s draconian DRM crud and Penny Arcade completely whiffing it with the transgender community.

And finally, yes, (starting at the 1 hour & 42 minute mark) it’s a bunch of Last of Us talk: Anne loved the game while Bill ‘just’ really liked it, but that doesn’t keep us from yakking about the game’s world building (and how much of that world building may’ve been ganked from Children of Men), whether or not Tess should’ve been the main character rather than Joel, “press X to pet awesome animal” and how great Ellie is in general.
